I am a qualified hairdresser and beauty therapist and have been in the field for over 30 years. Where did it all start though I hear you ask? Well let me tell you...

When I was 12 my Aunty organised a makeup and skin care party at my mums house. We all got to do our own minifacial followed by the make up know how. We all bought stuff because it made us feel beautiful. It was the 80’s so everything was big, the colour palete, the hair, the shoulderpads…. I fell in love with the need to dress people up. Do their makeup, show them how to look after their skin and of course do their hair. It gave me a buzz to make people feel beautiful. 36 years later that hasn’t changed.

I became the owner of Etticutt Hair Skin Body over 15 years ago. The salon has evolved from a small hair salon in a noisy shopping centre back in 2010, to a modern chic, relaxed place, out of the hustle and bustle, to not only get your hair done or get a spray tan or both!

We  moved to our current site at 16 Marshall Lane in Kenmore because we got tired of the outside noise and the four big white walls...

I wanted to create a friendly relaxed atmosphere where you as the guest can indulge in beauty services, the way you want to. I wanted a space that was all about you.

My first goal was to give the salon a raw natural feel. So I designed with wood and concrete, and improvised the rest. I also wanted the products we worked with to have the same feeling.

​

I choose Redken Colour and home hair care for the most up to date in styling and fashion colours, straight from New York. To keep the Raw natural feel we expanded our range to include Pureology an essential oil based home haircare and styling range that uses corn, coconut and sugar to gently cleanse hair without stripping colour. 100% vegan friendly and free from paraben and sulphates, with no animals testing or animal by products. 

We stock Imbibe ingestible beauty products and skin care from Byron Bay.

We are a hair salon that believes in having a good time while doing what we love, and we do love what we do and you're going to be our guest, for a good part of your day, we want you to love it too!

I couldn't however achieve any of this if not for my wonderful staff, senior stylist  Jordan, senior stylist Kellie, who runs Gypsi-Luxe within our salon and the lovely Humera who runs The Styl'o Beauty Lounge within our salon.
